Walter (Wally) Boos

Wally is an experienced entrepreneur, sales leader, and business executive. Most recently he co-founded Fitsbow, which provides executive/career coaching, employee engagement services, outplacement services, and executive search assistance to client companies. Wally has brought that executive search experience and skill to Altus, where he leads the Altus Talent Practice.

In the last 20 years, Wally has hired or participated in the hiring of hundreds of employees. That experience has refined his ability to identify key skills and attributes which will help companies and employees have longer term fruitful relationships. Wally is passionate about professional match making – where both employer and employee are in “right fit” alignment.

He graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Washington with a degree in Business, specializing in Accounting. He passed the CPA Exam and went to work for Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co., a Big 8 CPA firm (now KPMG). He later went to work for IBM, where he began his career in sales and technology.

Wally is on the board of Colon STARS, whose mission is to save lives by educating people on the importance of colorectal screening (www.colonstars.org). He is also on the board of Shirts Across America (SAA) (www.shirtsacrossamerica.org). SAA was created by high school and college students in Seattle, to help rebuild homes in New Orleans that were affected by Hurricane Katrina in 1995.

He lives on Mercer Island with his wife and the non-adult portion of their six children. In his time away from work he enjoys bicycling, ballgames, poker, family adventures, reading, travel, great movies, and mini-vacations with his wife Paula.
