Erika has 20 years of experience as an accomplished leader in technology business development, revenue acceleration, market expansion, and global alliances. She excels in developing and launching innovative product and market solutions for start-up organizations as well as established Fortune 500 companies. Thriving in unchartered territory, Erika has built and led her own company, was employee #9 at Qpass, and #19 at Socrata, jump-starting successful entrepreneurial endeavors. Her expertise lies in solving complex challenges through collaborative technology solutions and strategic execution plans.
While at Socrata, a SaaS cloud data platform, Erika was VP of Ecosystem and Strategic Alliances where she spear-headed business development, contributed to VC fund raising, incubated international markets, developed channel alliances, created high performing teams, and scaled the ecosystem around data applications and solutions.
Prior to Socrata, Erika held several roles at Microsoft including Industry Managing Director for Microsoft Local and Regional Government Worldwide, Director of Business Management for Mobile Operator Channels and Consumer Products, and P&L Owner for Small Business Server US markets. During her tenure in mobile business development, Erika created the business case and executed the operating plan for the company’s investment in a strategic mobile start-up company. At Qpass, Erika negotiated and landed the first marquee customers and revenue in the content publishing and mobile operator markets.
Throughout her career, Erika has also led many economic development efforts. She’s a volunteer leader for DOXA, helping to fulfill their mission to alleviate poverty through the building and providing of homes for less privileged families in Tijuana, Mexico. She’s a founding board member for WanderWorld Foundation, whose mission is to invest in local social entrepreneurs who empower women and children through access to increased opportunities for creating healthier and more sustainable communities.
Erika holds a BA from Vassar College in Political Science and Economics, attended Harvard University and has an Economics Masters degree from Cambridge University.
