Don has 25+ years in executive sales, marketing and operations roles with General Electric, EMC, Cisco, NTT-Dimension Data, CA Technologies, Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC), and Hubbell. Before joining Altus, he founded a sales transformation services firm specializing in complex sales process design, assessments, coaching, training, and consulting, to help clients dramatically increase sales and marketing productivity. Clients included Siemens PLM Software, MSC Software, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Oracle/Sun, Cisco Systems and several of their small, medium and large systems integrators.
Don’s broad background includes: deep experience with Information Technology Companies (Software, Hardware, and Services) as well as Industrial Manufacturing companies, field-based and global headquarters roles in sales, marketing, channels, strategic programs, management and training & development, and expertise with all types of sales processes and channels to market, from the Fortune 5 down to the SMB market via channel partners. His customer knowledge spans many vertical markets.
Don holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Connecticut, graduated from GE Corporate’s two-year Technical Sales Leadership Program, and completed various executive education courses at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a member of the Strategic Account Management Association (SAMA), and is a certified Business Coach, Sales Trainer and Cisco Sales Expert.
Don currently lives in Connecticut with his wife and two children.
