| 206-438-1892David has held executive leadership roles at some of the world’s most successful technology companies including both large (IBM and Oracle) and small (Onvia, Qpass and Netscape). He is a software industry veteran with over 25 years experience in a variety of executive management and board positions in both public and private companies, with an emphasis on disciplinary expertise in sales, marketing, business development, negotiation, and finance.
David co-founded Altus Alliance in 2003. During this time Altus has worked with over 50 early stage companies, helping to build profitable and sustainable businesses by developing excellence within the sales/marketing/business development organizations.
Prior to starting Altus, David founded Arrigetch Advisors, a leading venture catalyst in the Northwest, where he served on the Lehman Brothers Venture Capital Board of Advisors, and the Mohr Davidow Entrepreneurs Network. Prior to that he served as SVP, Sales, Marketing and Business Development at Qpass Inc., the first to deliver a worldwide transaction network for digital content on-demand, acquired by AmDocs; SVP Marketing at iCat Corp, an early leader in the Internet catalog software market, acquired by Intel; and as an entrepreneur-in-residence with Hook Partners, a venture capital firm specializing in e-commerce and communications. Earlier on David was the VP & GM and company officer at Excalibur Technologies, a public company acquired by Intel that develops and markets media storage and retrieval technologies. For 5 years (1988-1992) David co-lead Oracle Corporation’s enterprise strategic business unit, responsible for building Oracle’s worldwide enterprise software business where he helped conceive, initiate and develop Oracle’s leadership position in the enterprise database and applications markets. David began his career with IBM where he held various sales, marketing and management positions at IBM’s Data Processing and Marketing Divisions throughout the US.
David holds a BA in Economics from Lafayette College, and has completed an executive MBA program at Harvard Business School and additional postgraduate financial seminars at Stanford. He currently serves on the ScoutReach Board of Trustees for the Seattle Council of Boy Scouts of America, on the National Board of Advisors for National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), and as Chairman of the board for Mountain Madness.
