Kevin Walsh

After beginning his career as a software engineer, Kevin Walsh moved into pre-sales technical support, product management and marketing. For the past twenty years, Kevin has been the principal marketing executive at a series of B2B technology startups. These include Xylan (subsequently purchased by Alcatel), an early Ethernet switching pioneer where Kevin helped build revenue from zero to over $400 million and successfully conduct an IPO; Accelerated Networks, a leader in broadband access that also executed a successful IPO; Calix, a telecom innovator that grew from zero to over $200 million during his tenure; and Cyan (purchased by Ciena), a fiber optics and software disrupter that also conducted an IPO. Kevin was president and COO of Irvine Networks, which was sold to Simple Technologies, and Interim CEO at Bsquare, a publicly traded software and services company in the IoT and AI space.

Kevin received a BS in Computer Science from the University of California, Irvine. He received an MBA from Pepperdine University.

Kevin loves to run, especially trail runs. Running helps him focus and reduces stress. It’s also a great way to explore new cities; he’s put in miles in London, Paris, Sydney, Singapore, and Tokyo. With three marathons, 25 half marathons and countless 5Ks, 10Ks and trail runs, he has no plans to slow down, although he’s pretty sure his PRs are behind him.
